Swami says, “Everyday is a happy day.” 10th July, 2008, our school foundation day was a day full of happiness. The presence of Mr. Parimal Trivedi, Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University, made it the most memorable occasion for all present.
Based on the five values of life: Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa, each student of the school is placed in one house. The foundation day was celebrated with a cultural programme. Each house presented their items based on the house motto. All the programmes were presented nicely within a very short time.
Mr. Manoj Bhimani, the managing trustee of the school introduced Mr. Parimal Trivedi and informed that there are 391 colleges and 3,86,000 students under Mr. Trivedi through a very busy person, he took out his precious time to come and meet all of us.
Mr. Parimal Trivedi, keeping in mind Baba’s philosophy spoke in his mother tongue Gujarati. He was very pleased to be in the school, amongst the student, he found the school an example of unity in diversity and observed that India’s future and culture was secure here. He even entertained the students with a story of two frogs and told them not to give up hard work and have faith, devotion and self confidence. He told the children to be like a river which wants to flow into the ocean till it removes all its salinity.
Mrs. Uma Raman, the Principal, SSSVM concluded by thanking the esteemed guest and all others of the Sai family who made this occasion memorable,
Swami says, “Manav seva is Madhav seva.” After the cultural programme the students of std. VII, VIII & IX went to the nearly construction site for Narayan Seva. They had prepared food packets containing ‘Puri’ & ‘Sabji’. It was a hot and humid day, but children joyfully shared the food with people staying there. It was a satisfactory finale to the foundation day. |
